Apply Slope

Used to apply a slope to an existing route by sensing downstream connected components. Slope refers to small inclinations of routes to facilitate flow or drainage from a system.

Option to exclude selected pipe manipulates elevation of a route by modifying the elbow or fitting in the process direction.

The Apply Slope manipulation tool provides flexible controls to define the slope process. Applies slope dynamically to segments of a run or entire route in steps manipulated in the set slope limits.

Slope effect: Continue through risers ON/OFF

Setting	Description
Method	Settings apply the desired slope method. Rise / Run. % Percent. Degree. For a selected method the Tool Settings dialog displays appropriate label to the value input control.
Slope value input	Enter a value(s) for the amount of slope for the selected method. Rise : Run — Accepts the vertical rise and horizontal run values respectively for Rise/Run slope method. Percentage — Accepts a value in the scale of percentage for % Percent slope method. Slope Degree — Accepts the angular inclination value for Degree slope method. Switching the Method to another displays the equivalent slope value.
Slope Direction	Direction of slope can be either Up or Down. Slope run direction is defined by the location on pipe of the selection data point. Down Up
Slope Selected Pipe	The setting applies slope to the highlighted segment of the route.
Continue Through Risers	The setting applies slope to all of the connected route components through risers bypassing components that exceed the locate tolerance such as vertical pipe. Fittings are regenerated, and connections are maintained.
Process Pipe Within (degrees)	Defines a tolerance angle from horizontal for locating slope. Pipes that exceed the tolerance value are exempted in the slope process.
